2018 SA Blog Awards

2018 SA Blog Awards – The Results

As you all know, I entered the SA Blog Awards last year. I did not expect to get very far, only having started my blog end of May last year. But, nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I thought let’s give it a go.

I checked the opposition out a bit after I entered. I was up against some pretty stiff competition: Blogs that have been around for years, other blogs with more than 60000 followers on Facebook.

But, when I finally got the results yesterday morning, I was extremely excited and proud to see that we made it into the top 3!!

We are Runner up in the Best Travel Blog and Second Runner up in the Best Lifestyle Blog!

So I would like to take this opportunity to thank our readers for all of their support. You really are an amazing group of people. Thank you so much for voting, for getting other people to vote too. Thank you for reading our stories and for commenting! We appreciate it tremendously and love connecting with people who love the Kruger as much as we do! This year, we’ll go for the win of the SA Blog Awards!!

Have a great Sunday!

Love, Linda

  5. Winning the blog award isn’t as important as winning the hearts of your readers and that you do every time!!
Nevertheless well done and keep it up.

  6. Well done Linda. Great achievement after such a short period. It shows how many people really love what you write about. En dat vind ik ook. Ga zo door!!

  7. Well deserved Linda. To me it was a no brainer. Your blogs are so refreshing, easy to read and so descriptive that I can imagine being there. Well done and congratulations.

  8. Congratulations! Kruger National Park is a place people make an effort to visit from far n wide. Just being there is awesome whether one sees Game or not. One finds rest in one’s soul. My husband has been going for 40 years..I..being his second wife..has only been for 7 years. We have to drive about 500 kms to get there n we’re not young anymore but it’s worth the drive.
Our favourite rest camp is Pretoriuskop..n our favourite eating place is Skukuza. We have been up to Shingwedzi having stayed over in their beautiful chalets for a few nights.
Thankyou for keeping Kruger alive for us. We bless you.

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment, Marie-Louise! Yes, the Kruger absolutely brings rest. It always used to be the only place where I could truly relax. Now I have kids it is a bit different;-)
